The Syrian Military Museum stands on the bank of the Barada beside the Sulaymaniyya Takiyya in the centre of Damascus. Its collection is devoted to weapons and military equipment, much of it from the twentieth century. It lies next to the Ottoman Takiyya complex and a short walk from the Damascus National Museum, so it is easily combined with a visit to both.
