Khan al-Harir, the silk khan of Damascus, is an Ottoman caravanserai built in the 1570s by the governor Darwish Pasha as part of the endowment of his mosque and markets. It served the silk trade of the old city. The khan stands near Souq al-Harir south-west of the Umayyad Mosque, in the old commercial quarter between Souq al-Hamidiyah and Souq al-Bzouriyah.
