Hammam Ammuna is a traditional bathhouse in the al-Amara quarter north of the Umayyad Mosque, and one of the few historic hammams of Damascus still working today. It is now run for women only, with women staff. The bath keeps the traditional sequence of rooms, from the cool outer hall to the steam room, and offers the scrub, wash and sauna that Damascene hammams are known for. It stands on al-Umawi Street, a short walk from the mosque's northern side and Bab al-Faradis.
