Elephant Rock, Jabal al-Fil, is a sandstone outcrop north-east of Al-Ula that wind and water have shaped into the form of an elephant with its trunk reaching to the ground. It is one of the best-known natural landmarks of the Al-Ula valley. The area around it has been laid out with sunken seating and cafes, and it is most popular in the evening, when the rock is lit up. Entry and parking are free.
