Ilm al-Din was a young carpenter of Lahore who in 1929 killed the publisher of a book that insulted the Prophet ﷺ. He was executed later that year, and his body was brought back to Lahore and buried in Miani Sahib graveyard before a very large crowd. His grave stands in its own enclosure within the Miani Sahib graveyard off Bahawalpur Road and is visited throughout the day.
