The Iraq National Library and Archive, founded in 1920, is the national library and record office of Iraq, holding books, newspapers, manuscripts and the documents of the Iraqi state since its foundation. It is in the Bab al-Muadham area of Rusafa, near Maydan Square, and is open to readers and researchers on weekday mornings.
