This is the grave and takiya of Shaykh Yasin ibn Ajwad al-Rifa'i, a shaykh of the Rifa'i order who taught and guided the people of the old Shawaka quarter of Karkh. His family and successors kept the takiya after him. The takiya stands in the old lanes of Shawaka near the Bab al-Muadham bridge, a short walk from the Maqam of Khidr.
