This shrine in the far north of Basra Governorate is honoured as the grave of Sayyid Tharwan ibn al-Qasim, a descendant of Sayyiduna al-Hasan ibn Ali through Zayd ibn al-Hasan. It lies at al-Hawsh al-Janubi in the Imam al-Sadiq subdistrict of the al-Madina district and is cared for by the Shia Endowment.
