The mosque of Taghribardi was completed in 1440 by the amir Taghribardi, the dawadar or secretary of Sultan al-Zahir Jaqmaq. It was built as a funerary complex with a madrasa, a khanqah and a domed tomb. The small building has a fine wooden ceiling and a minaret beside its carved dome. It stands on the corner of Saliba Street, a short walk from the mosque of Ibn Tulun.
