About Graves of the Bakri Family

The Bakri family traced their descent to Abu Bakr al-Siddiq and for centuries led the Bakriyya Sufi order and held the office of Naqib al-Ashraf in Egypt. Their burial ground lies just west of the domed mausoleum of Imam al-Shafi'i in the Qarafa.
