This domed tomb is all that remains of the khanqah built around 1335 by the amir Qawsun, one of the most powerful amirs of Sultan al-Nasir Muhammad. He was put to death in Alexandria in 1342, and his body was brought back and buried here. The surviving tomb chamber keeps rich stucco decoration. It stands in the Southern Cemetery near the Sultaniyya tomb and the grave of Jalal al-Din al-Suyuti.
