The Lala Pasha Masjid, known in Livno as the Begluk or Beglučka Masjid, was built in 1577-78 just outside the walls of the old town, at the place called Begluk. It is counted among the most beautiful domed mosques in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with harmonious stone walls, a single dome and a slender minaret. The balcony of its minaret is decorated with stalactite carving, and the mosque keeps a sundial made by the renowned timekeeper and astronomer Hajji Yusuf Livnjak. It stands below Livno's upper town, a short walk from the Duman spring.
