About Glavica Masjid (Hajji Ahmed Dukatar), Livno

The Hajji Ahmed Dukatar Masjid, better known as the Glavica Masjid, stands on the Glavica hill above the old town of Livno and can be seen from far across the town. It was built between 1562 and 1574 and is a national monument of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It has a main dome, three small domes over the entrance porch and a stone minaret. Its domes were damaged by bombing in the Second World War and later restored. A well-kept park surrounds the mosque, and it is a short walk from the Duman spring and the Lala Pasha Masjid.
