Baqi' al-Zubayr was a piece of land close to Masjid al-Nabawi that the Prophet ﷺ granted to his cousin al-Zubayr ibn al-Awwam, who worked as a butcher in the market of al-Baqi' in his early years in Madinah. The historians of Madinah record that the Prophet ﷺ pitched a tent here when he first chose a place for the Muslims' market, before settling the market further west, and that he prayed at this spot, so that al-Samhudi later counted it among the mosques of Madinah. No building marks the place today. Its site lies about 200 metres east of the Green Dome, in the area between Masjid al-Nabawi and al-Baqi'.
