This shrine and mosque at al-Shu'ayba is the grave of Sayyid Jabir al-Ghalibi, whom the people of the area call the Lion of al-Shu'ayba and honour as its protector, telling many stories of his karamat. It stands near the al-Shu'ayba railway station in the al-Zubayr district, about 1.4 km from the shrine of the Companion Anas ibn Malik, so the two are easily visited together.
