About Grave of Abu Lakhal

This shrine at Urayj, in the north of the al-Qurna district, is the grave of Sayyid Abu Lakhal, one of the local Sayyids visited by the people of the villages along the Tigris. Urayj lies at the northern edge of Basra governorate, about 30 km north of al-Qurna, on the way towards the shrine honoured as the grave of Nabi Uzayr in Maysan.
