This funerary complex was built in 1303 and 1304 by two Mamluk amirs who were close friends, Sayf al-Din Salar, the viceroy of Egypt, and Alam al-Din Sanjar al-Jawli. Both are buried here, each under his own dome. The twin domes stand on a rocky slope of Jabal Yashkur overlooking Saliba Street, with a minaret and a corridor screened by carved stone grilles. The complex has been closed for some time, but the domes and minaret can be seen from the street near the Ibn Tulun Mosque.
