About Grave of al-Ashraf Khalil

This domed tomb was built in 1288 by al-Ashraf Khalil, the son of Sultan Qalawun, who became sultan in 1290 and took Acre in 1291. He is buried here. The tomb stands on al-Ashraf Street near the mosque of Sayyida Nafisa, close to the tomb of Fatima Khatun.
