About Bab Qaytbay

This gate was opened by Sultan Qaytbay in the eastern wall built by Salah al-Din, beside the older gate to the cemetery, to give a wider entrance. It stands near the mosque of Sayyida Aisha at the entrance to the Southern Cemetery, a few metres from Bab al-Qarafa.
