Al-Jalaliyya Mosque in Ibb was founded by the patron Jalal al-Din al-Nadhari and is one of the historic mosques of the old town. Its tall brick minaret, decorated with red and white patterned bands, rises above the stone houses of old Ibb, and the prayer hall has a carved and painted mihrab. Today it also houses a school for memorising the Qur'an.
