The Husayn Pasha Mosque stands in the old Haydarkhana quarter near the start of Rashid Street. It was built in 1674 and takes its name from Husayn Pasha, an Ottoman governor of Baghdad, which makes it one of the older Ottoman mosques in the city. It has a prayer hall roofed with three domes and a mihrab, and members of the Ba'aj family are buried inside. The mosque has been closed in recent years; it is about 120 metres from the Haydar-Khana Mosque.
