This small domed tomb of the Bahri Mamluk period dates from about 730 AH (1329–30) and is known as the tomb of Abu al-Yusufayn. It is registered among the Islamic monuments of Cairo, and the French survey of the city made at the end of the eighteenth century marked it as the zawiya of Abu al-Yusufayn. It stands on al-Tabbana Street in al-Darb al-Ahmar, the old road from Bab Zuwayla up to the Citadel, between Bab Zuwayla and the Blue Mosque. The Ottoman sabil of Yusuf Agha al-Habashi and the shrine of Sayyida Fatima bint al-Husayn are about 100 metres away.
