Request account deletion
On the website
Sign in, open Privacy Settings, choose Delete account and confirm with the emailed verification code.
In the مسلم میپس app
Sign in to the مسلم میپس app, open Your account data → Request account deletion, and confirm with the emailed verification code.
By email
Write to info@muslimmaps.app from the email address on your account. You do not need to install the app to request deletion by email.
Retention & Deletion
- When your request is processed, your personal account records and sign-in account are removed. Non-retained uploaded files are removed manually, with file removal tracked separately until completed.
- Published reviews, approved photos and approved listings stay without your name, shown as from a former member. A non-public anonymised identity record is retained only to preserve those contributions.
- There is a 30-day reactivation period. Your public profile and public visits are hidden immediately; you can still sign in and reactivate until processing. An authorised administrator manually processes the request when the period ends, at the latest by the next working day (Monday to Friday, excluding England and Wales bank holidays). Staff may process early at your request or pause processing for a dispute or legal obligation.
- Before processing, a private archive of your Download My Data content and deletion request is kept for disputes and legal claims, abuse prevention and legal obligations. Only super administrators can access it. It is permanently purged one year after processing.

Remove some of your data without deleting your account
You can use these website controls without deleting your account. If a control is not available in your app version, sign in on the website.
- Reviews and their photos: open the place, find your own review, open its menu and choose Delete. This removes the review and its attached photos from the review.
- Visits, notes and photos: open My Account → My Visits, then choose Remove on the visit. Use Edit to change its note or remove individual photos.
- Saved places and guides: open Saved Places, select a saved heart or the guide’s remove control, and confirm removal.
- Collections: open Saved Places → Collections, open the collection’s menu and choose Delete collection. Deleting a collection does not unsave the places or guides inside it.
- Blocked members: open My Account → Privacy Settings → Blocked Members and choose Unblock.
