The Ćurčinica Masjid stands in the lower town of Livno and takes its name from the Ćurčić family, whose waqf looked after it. A mosque has stood here since the lower town was rebuilt after the Venetian raid of 1685 and the Ottoman return to Livno a few years later. The old mosque was burned during the war of the 1990s, and the building that stands today is a new mosque in a bold modern style. It is now the main mosque of Livno for Friday prayer, with a restaurant beside it serving halal food, and it is a short walk from the Duman spring.
