About Clock Tower Museum

The Clock Tower Museum occupies the top four floors of the Makkah Royal Clock Tower, beside Masjid al-Haram, and opened to visitors in 2019. Each floor has its own theme: the building and engineering of the tower itself, the ways people measured time in earlier ages, how the sun, moon and earth have been used to order daily life and worship, and the planets and outer space. The highlight for most visitors is the balcony beneath the clock faces, with a panoramic view down onto the Haram and the Ka'bah. Entry is ticketed, and time on the viewing deck is usually limited, so it is best to go when the Haram is less crowded.
