This small Mughal mosque was built in the 1650s by Muhammad Saleh Kamboh, scholar and historian at the court of Shah Jahan, whose history of that reign is a main source for the period. The mosque stands just inside Mochi Gate in the Walled City. It is a modest building with a decorated entrance and tile and fresco work on its facade, and it remains in daily use for prayer.
