The mosque and khanqah of Mughaltay al-Jamali were built in 1329 and 1330 by the amir Ala al-Din Mughaltay al-Jamali, steward of Sultan al-Nasir Muhammad, who was buried in it in 1332. The building stands in al-Gamaliya, a short walk from Bayt al-Suhaymi and al-Muizz Street.
