Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-As was one of the Companions who wrote down what he heard from the Prophet ﷺ, and he narrated a great number of hadith. Mazarat Misr records that he is buried under a dome in the north-eastern corner of his father's mosque in Fustat. His tomb lies inside the Amr ibn al-As Mosque, the first mosque built in Egypt, in Old Cairo.
