The mosque at Bour, east of Seiyun, belongs to Sayyid Alawi ibn Ubaydullah, the grandson of Sayyid Ahmad ibn Isa al-Muhajir and the eponym of the Ba-Alawi sayyids. It is recorded as one of the oldest mosques of Wadi Hadramawt and has been a place of worship for many centuries. The mosque is a whitewashed building with a slender minaret banded in green, standing in the village of Bour, which was once one of the main villages of the valley. It is often visited together with al-Husayyisa nearby.
