Al-Washali Mosque is one of the old mosques of the Old City of Sana'a. It is known in the early sources as the al-Ajdham Mosque and later took the name al-Washali from a scholar of the Prophet's ﷺ family buried beside it. The domed grave was renewed by Imam al-Mutawakkil Sharaf al-Din in the tenth century AH. The prayer hall has a flat timber roof on stone columns and arches, with a minaret, a water pool and traditional baths, and the mosque stands between the Talha and al-Jamaliyya mosques.
