Nabi Yunus is the highest peak of the coastal mountains of Syria, rising above the town of Slinfah east of Latakia. The mountain takes its name from the small shrine of Nabi Yunus on its summit. The summit offers wide views over the mountains and, on clear days, towards the Mediterranean. The last part of the road is closed to cars, so visitors walk the final stretch.
