The Fattahi Zawiya is an old Sufi lodge in the al-Sulaybah quarter of Latakia, a short walk from the Mashati Mosque in the heart of the old city. Zawiyas like this one were centres for gatherings of remembrance, religious teaching and hospitality to travellers. It is still used as a mosque, with a small courtyard and prayer hall in the traditional style of the city.
