Sitt Wasila House was built in 1664 by two brothers, Abd al-Haqq and Lutfi, sons of Muhammad al-Kinani. It takes its name from Sitt Wasila, the last woman to live in it, who passed away in 1835. The Ottoman house has a courtyard and a hall decorated with painted wood, and it is now used as the House of Poetry for readings and cultural events. It stands behind al-Azhar, next to Al-Harrawi House.
