Sayyid Yahya was the son of al-Hasan al-Anwar and the brother of Sayyida Nafisa. Mazarat Misr says he was called al-Mutawwaj bil-Anwar, 'crowned with lights', for the radiance and blessing people saw in him. His grave is in the shrine of Yahya al-Shabih, south of Imam al-Shafi'i in the Qarafa. His father is buried in Old Cairo and his sister in her mosque in al-Khalifa, so the three can be visited in one day.
