This small domed tomb is all that remains of the Qasidiyya madrasa, built in the fourteenth century for a man from Mayyafariqin known as al-Qasid, the envoy, who is buried here. It was restored at the end of the Mamluk period. The stone dome sits on an octagonal drum with eight windows. It stands on al-Gamaliya Street just south of Bab al-Nasr and the mosque of al-Hakim.
