Shaykh Ibrahim al-Yaqubi was a Damascene scholar from the Yaqubi family, a household of scholars and Sufis long associated with teaching in the Umayyad Mosque. He studied with leading scholars of his time, including Shaykh Muhammad al-Hashimi, and taught the religious sciences to many students in Damascus. He passed away in 1985 and is buried in the Bab al-Saghir cemetery.
