Sayyid Muhammad Shah Bukhari was a Suhrawardi saint of the time of the emperor Akbar. He is known as Mauj Darya, the wave of the river, from the story that his prayers turned back the flood waters of the Ravi from Lahore. His domed shrine stands on Edward Road in the Anarkali area, near Jain Mandir Chowk, a short walk from Mall Road.
