The shrine of Nabi Danyal stands in the old city of Mosul on the west bank of the Tigris, near the former Jewish quarter, today known as the Al-Ahmadiyya quarter. It is registered with the municipality and the property records as the Mosque of Nabi Danyal. The shrine was destroyed during the occupation of Mosul in 2014 and was later restored, and visitors from the city and beyond come to it again today.
