Bab al-Baghlah was a gate on the south-eastern side of Masjid al-Haram, with two doors and eleven steps down to the floor of the mosque. Al-Azraqi called it the gate of Banu Sufyan, and the historian al-Fasi wrote that he could not find out why it was later called Bab al-Baghlah. The gate was removed when Masjid al-Haram was enlarged in the twentieth century. Its site lies inside the present mosque, about 65 metres south-east of the Ka'bah, between Bab Bazan and Bab al-Safa.
