The sabil-kuttab of Khusraw Pasha was built in 1535, in the time of the Ottoman governor Khusraw Pasha, and it is the oldest Ottoman sabil left in Cairo. It follows the local Cairene design rather than the Turkish one. Water was given out through two windows, one onto al-Muizz Street and one onto the madrasa of al-Salih Ayyub beside it, and the room inside is paved with coloured marble. The kuttab sits above. It stands on al-Muizz Street opposite the Qalawun complex.
